UCSF-China Urology Operative and Research Symposium 2016

With a kind support from Bard Medical, urologist delegates from China met Dr. Stoller and Dr. Chi at UCSF Parnassus campus on May 5, 2016 to exchange research ideas and surgical techniques in kidney stone treatment. 

At the meeting, Dr. Chi and Dr. Tzou gave a talk about ReSKU - The Registry for Stones of the Kidney and Ureter. This topic was widely discussed and several Chinese institutions expressed an interest to participate in this project. Dr. Chang - one of the Urology Chief Residents - also provided a brief introduction to the US residency training system and how it differs from China's.  

 

A live surgery was performed at the UCSF Moffitt-Long Hospital and broadcasted to the meeting venue.   

 

Dr. Helena Chang gave her talk about UCSF and urology training in the United States. 

 

Dr. David Tzou talked about ReSKU - The Registry for Stones of the Kidney and Ureter.
