Biography

Dr. Manint Usawachintachit, MD, is an attending urologist from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. After performing clinical work for 3 years in Thailand, Dr. Usawachintachit came to the United states to joined Dr. Chi's research team during 2015 to 2017. Under Dr. Chi's direction, Dr. Usawachintachit conducted several clinical studies in ultrasound guidance for kidney stone surgery and application of ultrasound contrast in urology practice.

Clinical Interests

At Chulalonkorn University, Dr. Usawa is one of the two urologists mainly operating on urinary stone patients. His clinical interests are minimally-invasive surgery for urinary stone, laparoscopic surgery, and pediatric stone disease. He is also a member of the Endourological Society, the American Urological Association (AUA), and the Urological Association of Asia (UAA).  

Research Interests

In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Chi supervised Dr. Usawa in conducting stone research at UCSF. His research focused on ultrasound guidance for kidney stone surgery, ultrasound contrast application in stone management, and impact of quality of life from kidney stone.
