Dr. Thomas Chi joined the UCSF faculty of the Department of Urology in 2013. His clinical interests include the care of patients with urinary stone disease and those in need of minimally invasive surgery. David Bayne, MD, MPH, joined the UCSF faculty of the Department of Urology in 2020.  His clinical interests include urinary stone disease, ureteral strictures, and those in need of minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in the performance of endoscopic, laparoscopic, and percutaneous surgeries. He has trained in both fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided kidney access, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP). Read More...

 

 

Justin Ahn, MD

Dr. Justin Ahn is a 2-year Laparascopy /Endourology Fellow at the UCSF Department of Urology. He completed his Urology residency at University of Washington in Seattle, studying national imaging patterns in kidney stone patients as well as techniques to improve burstwave and shockwave lithotripsy. His research interests include novel diagnostics and therapies for kidney stones, medical education, patient safety and quality improvement. Read More...

 

 

Catherine Arevalo

Since 2018, Catherine has been the Clinical Research Coordinator for ReSKU.  She is in charge of recruitment and the consent process for new ReSKU participants. Among her roles, she facilitates the implementation of ReSKU among new sites, takes part in data analysis and aids the IRB process for promising new studies and clinical trials.

 

 

Vickie Hogue

Vickie has been a part of this research group since the fall of 2013.  She added her experience in laboratory research and management as well as grants administration and submission to the building of this research program.  She is currently also coordinating (recruitment, enrollment and consent, scheduling, follow-up, drug inventory) multiple clinical trials including one on-going for people with cystinuria and a newly approved study for people with primary hyperoxaluria.
